Gallery Artists selected for James W. and Frances G. McGlothlin Medical Education Center at VCU School of Medicine

By News
Reynolds Gallery is proud to announce that many of our artists were recently selected for the collection of the new James W. and Frances G. McGlothlin Medical Education Center at VCU School of Medicine.  The LEED-certified building was designed by I.M. Pei’s design firm, Pei Cobb Freed & Partners and is home to offices, classrooms, and research facilities.

Some wonderful pieces were selected by the committee.  Selected artists include Richard Carlyon, Ross Caudill, Tara Donovan, Ron Johnson, Ray Kass, Richard Roth, Tanja Softic, and Javier Tapia.  Ron Johnson was commissioned for a site-specific installation and VCUarts graduate Ross Caudill was commissioned to convert his wall-mounted stainless steel sculpture, Accelerator,  into a free standing installation.

Head down to 1201 E. Marshall Street to see some fabulous art!

Tom Wesselmann

By News

A few wonderful examples of Tom Wesselmann’s work are currently on view at Reynolds Gallery.  If you have been to see the current exhibition at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts here in Richmond, Pop Art and Beyond, then you are familiar with the artist’s iconic, bold nudes.  The screenprint below is an example of Wesselman’s later work which features his classic nude in a new style resembling the metal cut-out figures he pioneered in the 1980s and 1990s.  Stop by the gallery to see his work!
